The choice of our cotton pads

At Balzac Paris, we pay particular attention to the selection of our cottons. It is sometimes difficult to find a responsible cotton because of the many ethical and environmental risks associated with it. Our priority is to find cottons that are certified, traceable, recycled or regenerative. To achieve this, we use various certifications, the main ones being GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard), GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and Regenagri®.By 2023, 98% of our cottons will be organically grown, degenerated or recycled (including 75.5% GOTS).The traceability of our products and materials is also one of our major challenges. In order to secure our cotton supplies as much as possible, we mainly select cottons from Turkey or Egypt.

PEOPLE AT THE HEART OF OUR DECISIONS

Balzac Paris places ethics at the heart of its decision-making. We ensure the well-being, safety and working conditions of all workers involved in the design of our products. The GRS certification attests that all of these elements are verified.

OUR COMMITMENTS TO PRESERVING THE ENVIRONMENT

Every recycling step is environmentally friendly. GRS certification ensures wastewater control and responsible waste and chemical management.

OUR COMMITMENTS TO A CIRCULAR ECONOMY AND FIGHTING CLIMATE DISRUPTION

The use of recycled cotton significantly reduces the environmental footprint. In addition, GRS certification guarantees the recycled origin of the material, as well as controlled energy management throughout the manufacturing process. As a result, we contribute to preserving natural resources, limiting greenhouse gas emissions and promoting a virtuous circular economy.

##PEOPLE AT THE HEART OF OUR DECISIONS

It is crucial for us to offer farmers fair remuneration. Better soil resilience and more stable, higher yields for farmers are made possible by the Regenagri® certified regenerative cotton cultivation technique.

OUR COMMITMENT TO PRESERVING THE ENVIRONMENT

By using Regenagri® certified regenerative cotton, we are helping to improve the health of the land. Various solutions, such as crop rotation, help to improve soil fertility and prevent soil impoverishment. This certification also ensures responsible management of the water and energy used to grow the cotton.

REDUCING OUR IMPACT ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Regenagri® certified regenerative cotton ensures that the soil retains more CO2. This reduces the impact on climate change compared with conventional cotton growing.
